Paulo Monteiro, DDS, MSc, is a specialist in aesthetic restorative dentistry and fixed prosthodontics, with exclusive private practice in Lisbon, Portugal. He coordinates postgraduate programmes in minimally invasive adhesive dentistry and advanced aesthetic restorative dentistry at Egas Moniz University Institute and is an invited professor at Goethe University Frankfurt and the University of Hong Kong. An active member of StyleItaliano and board member of the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry, he has delivered over 600 lectures and courses worldwide.
The lecture Composite & Ceramic: Two Paths, One Goal – Predictable Anterior Aesthetics compares direct composite restorations and indirect ceramic solutions for the aesthetic rehabilitation of anterior teeth. It will address case selection, material properties, preparation design, adhesive protocols, optical integration, and communication with the dental laboratory. Clinical examples will illustrate how both approaches can achieve natural, predictable, and minimally invasive outcomes when selected according to the biological and aesthetic requirements of each patient.
